Position Summary | This position will assist with planning, implementation, and evaluation of FPBCC’s Community Outreach and Engagement efforts. This position has two major roles – one is to coordinate the Community Scientist Program and the other is to conduct outreach and education activities to promote community-engaged research and increase clinical trial awareness and participation among underrepresented population groups. As an integrated staff member, the Education and Outreach Specialist will work in diverse, community-based settings in both rural and urban areas throughout Nebraska. Occasional evening and weekend hours as well. This requires flexibility and ability to drive one’s own vehicle and University vehicles. Daily tasks can be done in a hybrid working environment, with a mix of in-person commitments, travel, and tasks that can be completed virtually. |
