Start Date: Mid-January 2025 (Temp privileges available for expedited start).
Schedule:
Weekdays:
1 MDA on vacation weekly (except 2 weeks per year).
1 MDA post-call daily.
1 MDA on call daily.
1 MDA works day shift only.
1 MDA serves as 2nd call daily.
Weekends:
Alternating 1st and 2nd call coverage among MDAs.
Remaining MDAs have the weekend off.
Call Details:
1st Call: Provider may go home after cases finish; returns only for additional cases or central line needs.
2nd Call: Generally stays late; back-up for non-cardiac 1st call MDAs.
Call Ratio: 1 in 5.
Facility Information:
Practice Setting: Hospital-based; surgical services department.
Trauma Level: Level II trauma center.
EMR: Cerner PowerChart.
Surgical Volume: 13 cases/day average.
Operating Rooms: 12.
ER Volume: 25k annually.
Patient Demographic: Primarily adult/geriatric; no complex adolescent or pediatric cases.
Requirements:
Board Certified: Required.
Cardiac Experience: Required.
Cardiac Cases: Must be willing and able to perform independently (list years of experience).
Procedures:
General surgical (adult & pediatric), minor nerve blocks, spinal/epidural anesthesia, open heart, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgical, and regional anesthesia.
Acute pain management, ventilation management, and insertion of central lines, arterial lines, and PA catheters.
Volume/BP Management: Acute evaluation and management required.

Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days.
Requirements:
Active or eligible license (open to all).
Availability for full-time coverage (note start date).
Must supervise experienced CRNAs (100% supervision).
