Our team is always pushing the limits on how we can improve Database Administration patterns and practices at scale. We challenge patterns of the past and create opportunities for our future. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:
Administer the following platforms: SQL Server, MongoDB, DocumentDB, PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
Design, build and maintain automation for common DBA tasks such as installation, configuration and repeatable administrative work leveraging Desired State Configuration, PowerShell, Python, .Net, Infrastructure as Code principles and software engineering best practices.
Build, manage and support self-service tooling for Application Developers and other Database Platform users to interact with their systems without direct DBA involvement.
Monitor and Tune our database systems to enhance our internal and external customer experience.
Ensure availability, reliability and security of our data platforms.
Provide excellent customer service and support.
Ability for continuous learning and investment in yourself and our team.
What it Takes:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
Experience in enterprise scale database administration.
Demonstrated experience administering and supporting multiple database platforms including SQL Server, MongoDB, DocumentDB, Snowflake, etc.
Proficiency in SQL Scripting.
Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps tools and practices, PowerShell, python, or other advanced scripting languages.
Working knowledge of infrastructure engineering domains: hardware, storage, virtualization, cloud, security, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
